Chocolate Cookie Dough (for one) (1)

You all know how much I love edible cookie dough. After making an edible chocolate chip cookie dough, peanut butter cookie dough and an edible sugar cookie dough, I thought it was about time I make a chocolate cookie dough for you.

Since, 99% of the time when I want cookie dough, I just need a little bowlful just for me, this is another cookie dough for one recipe for you. So this chocolate cookie dough was the next one to add to the repertoire. And let me tell you, it’s so delicious!

Just like our other cookie dough recipes, this chocolate cookie dough recipe is made egg free, so it’s totally safe to eat. Perfect if you’re pregnant, for kids, or for any one who wants to be extra safe when eating cookie dough – because let’s be honest, I know you all sneak a spoonful or two of cookie dough when you’re making cookies, right?

I stuffed my chocolate cookie dough with chocolate chips, because what could be better than chocolate? Double chocolate that’s what!

But, if you want to switch it up, instead of adding chocolate chips you could also add a variety of other chips for yummy flavor combinations.

  • mint chips
  • peanut butter chips
  • white chocolate chips
  • m&ms
  • nuts
  • caramel bits
  • chopped up candy bars

The possibilities are practically endless. Now, are you ready to see how to make the good stuff?

How to make Chocolate Cookie Dough?

First you’ll cream together your butter, sugar and brown sugar. You’ll want them nice and smooth and creamed for a couple minutes. Add in some vanilla extract and milk. You use milk to keep the dough “wet” since there are no eggs to hold it all together. Add in some flour and a little salt too. Cut the salt in half or don’t use any if you are using salted butter.

Once it’s all mixed together and a good dough like consistency you can fold in your chocolate chips. Your cookie dough is now ready to eat. You can eat it with graham crackers or other cookies, or apples, or by the spoonful. I’ll let you guess which way I like it best 😉

You can also store it in the fridge if you want it to get a little more solid, or roll it into little dough balls to eat one or two when ever the craving strikes. The chocolate cookie dough should stay good in the fridge for about 5 days.
